Would you do it?
I completely stole this idea from another blog, and I can admit that up front. In this particular instance, I am an idea thief. The idea is to have people post a short video reading off the same list of words to hear the difference in accents. I thought it could be quite amusing, and wondered if anyone here would be interested in doing this?
I'm southern...no one else should be embarrassed! ;)
If you think you would participate in this, then please make a comment below, and I'll set it up if we have enough participants! Oh, if you can think of any words that might have a severe regional dialect to them, list those too, it will make my job easier. Sometimes...I just have brain farts and need a little help!
P.S. If you are camera shy, you could just do a voice recording, so if the camera scares you, then audio will work!

@sarahsD - YAY!
I could probably do it. Go Colorado, the anti-accent!
I'll do it, as a wave. file (audio only)
Fun Idea. I am not sure my computer does audio.
i don't have the programs or the equipment to partake in this.
@FogOfConfusion - I'm with you. lol
I'll try. My word suggestions are:
Nine, five, Park, caramel,
@storyslut - @FogOfConfusion - Any chance you have a camcorder and you could just do it off camera if you are shy?
@bethro78 - Those are good ones!
@Blue_ButterflyBaby - i doubt that yall want to see or hear me anyways.
How do I do an audio recording (I'm sick and don't want to scare people with my paleness on camera haha)
@FogOfConfusion - Sure we do!
@adifferentkindofbeautiful - I am not sure...I can check into it for you if you like!
@Southernlass - no you don't. trust me.
The camera-shy should make it a puppet show.... hey, even if the AREN'T shy!!! Alas, I lack adequate technology to even view videos sometimes.... oh well.
@FogOfConfusion - BAH! I said we do dang it!
@Legendairy - Beg and borrow?...no stealing!
@Southernlass - soon i will lose my internet for a while. even if i had the internet, i don't know how to do all that fancy computer stuff to get you the file. what kind of file would it even be?
Ha! Would Canadian be welcome? 'Mericans think we say "about" funny (i dunno....it sounds normal to me!) I think it sounds like a great idea!
Hey I'm game...
come to think of it, i might be able to get you an audio file. i have no clue what format it will be. beggars can't be choosers.
@FogOfConfusion - That would be awesome, and you would just post it on your own blog :)
@PaulsShar - About? you mean....aboot? ;) Of course you would be welcome!
@PaulsShar - Oh and don't forget to say EH? a lot or I won't believe you are truly Canadian!
@Southernlass - post it on my blog? i have a free account, i can do that stuff?
@Southernlass - That's funny....and exactly what I meant! Thanks for the welcome, eh!
What a great idea; it should really be fun. I'd love to participate, but I have neither cam nor mike. For my purposes, (writing fiction, mainly) I would have no use for them. But I'll be following the participants with great interest.

update me on the list of words. I'll be doing audio since I don't have a camera, though I think video is 'much more better' (to quote Jack Sparrow)
